2nd Quarter Goals and Linkup

Goal setting really helps me to get things done, so here are my second quarter plans:

1.  Finish Dad's Horse Quilt Top

2.  Quilt Mom's Pinwheel

3.  Quilt Brielle's Braid

4.  Quilt Joann's Apple Core
5.  Quilt Joann's flower applique'
6.  Baste Grand Illusion

7. Put a border on my Block Lotto winnings Quilt

8. Assemble and put a border on "Sweet Cherry Orange"

9.  Put a border on Periwinkle

10.  1 row of Dear Jane complete
11.  Design family mystery quilt

Deana: March goal list

It is a new month and time for a new list of quilting goals to accomplish.  Posting these lists really gives me focus for the month, so thanks for following along.  I have a couple of goals for EVERY month in 2015:  (1) Quilt a top and (2) Complete a UFO into a finished top.  The first two items on my goal list will fulfill these two categories.

#1  This month is kind of crazy for me so I am going to finish up an easy machine quilting project - Birdhouse Picket Fence wall hanging.  I started this somewhere around 2005 and it is so close to done it is crazy that it is not.

#2 Complete the Quilter's Garden Mystery Row Quilt (top only).  This wonderful group project is coming to an end so it is time to finish it up.

#3 Participate in the Block Lotto.  This month they are making fused applique' flower blocks out of Batiks (my favorite fabrics).

#4 Participate in the Stash Bee.  I am in Hive 7 and we are making purple star blocks with a 9 patch center.
Here are my pieces cut and ready to sew.  I am making four blocks for her.

#5 Prep the April Tutorial for Fort Worth Fabric Studio's Shimmer Braid FREE QAL.

#6 Baste a quilt top for quilting.  I have chosen the Pink Hexagon's in Rotation Quilt.  It is so much prettier in person.

Deana: February goal follow-up

Below is a list of my goals for February and the progress I made on them.

1.  Make my Stash bee Blocks.  We are making Woven Strings for Cyndi using bright solid white and bright colors.  Here is my fabric pull.  The link to the tutorial is here.

2.  Sew and prepare for my March Fort Worth Fabric Studio tutorial.  The FREE tutorial can be found at the link above.  I also hope to finish the quilt top.

3.  Make the final two sewing machine blocks for the Quilter's Garden.  You can see that the row is short.  The rows don't look the same length yet because I have not sewn them together (except the irons).

4. Design, sew, and pattern the March row for the Quilter's Garden.

5.  Quilt Jessi's Medallion

6.  Finish the top from the next number on the list:  2015 UFO Challenge.  It is the Family Round Robin quilt that Becky made me, "Storm at Sea."  I love color coordinated scrappy quilts and this one is perfect!
