One quilt bound - another one outline quilted!

Yippy!  I officially have my Stashbee quilt from two years ago completely finished!  It is called Flowering Snowball and has blocks from around the world.  I love it!  I know I showed that it was quilted a couple of days ago, but I wanted to show it again all bound.

This was my One Monthly Goal for July, my OPAM for July, and my Patchwork Times draw number for July.  Thank you blogland for giving me reasons to finish projects!

Here is a snippet of the back.

On a side note, I got Jodi's Lattice all outlined and ready to fill in with the pretty stuff.  I hope to have it done this week.

Final Stashbee Block of the year is complete!

I finished my last Stashbee block for 2016.  I have decided not to join next year because I know how much busier I will be, but I have loved being a part of Stashbee for two years.

I also finished machine quilting a quilt today.  I will have it bound in the next couple of days and then I will post it.

Deana: Sweet Cherry Orange DONE!

Yay!  I finished a quilt top!  Sweet Cherry Orange was created for the sole purpose of having a self-designed quilt for my Stashbee group this year.  Members made me blocks and saved their four corner triangles for me so I could create this fun and simple border out of them.

I love it!  Thanks to all who made me a block!

Deana: A sew day - all day!

I have not had a Saturday to sew for a couple of months.  Since school started I have been too busy to even sew in the evenings.  I was missing it SO BAD!  Well, yesterday I parked myself in my sewing room all day and loved it.

I made the final 6 blocks for my SWEET CHERRY ORANGE quilt.  This was my Stashbee quilt this year.  I was queen bee back in February.  I want to add that I have really enjoyed my two years of stashbee and look forward to more.

I also made up these flower blocks.  I plan to make enough for a lap quilt.  It is just out of my scraps.

Deana: October Stashbee blocks for Kathy

This is the first Saturday I have had home in weeks, so I got busy and made my October Stashbee blocks.  I loved making these cuties!

Deana: My last two month's stashbee blocks

Stashbee:

I made two late blocks for Miranda.  While the fabric was already out, I decided to make Sherry's blocks this month out of the same fabrics.

I also loved how Marga photographed her blocks over the top of her own stashbee quit this year, so I mimicked it.  Unfortuneately mine doesn't look as great with my wild colors.

Deana: 6 Dear Jane blocks completed!

I spent a couple of days sewing with family.  I didn't make these two blocks but they are so darn cute that I just had to show them off.

Here are Becky's blocks for the mystery quilt:

I was able to complete six Dear Jane blocks at a little family retreat.

The photo below is to remind us of how small those Dear Jane blocks are next to a 12" block.  Dear Jane blocks are 4 1/2" finished.

I also finished a stashbee block.

Deana: Dear Jane and Stashbee

I have completed 4 Dear Jane blocks this week!  Hooray!  I am pretty excited about that.  Perhaps I will finish this quilt some day.

Here are my finished blocks so far:

I also made a block for my hive mate at stashbee.  She asked for complimentary colors in this star pattern.

I also got some quilting done but not enough to really show yet.

Deana: Bee, myself, and I linkup

I am participating in Carla's "Bee, Myself, and I " this year.  She made several blocks for others last year and didn't get many made for herself, so she is hosting this.  She does not have a linky tool but will link my post to her blog post.

For March I completed the following blocks for myself:

Sophie's Block Lotto March Pattern.  I am in LOVE with these blocks!

Periwinkle block - I made a whole row of them to enlarge my quilt and got it attached to the rest of the quilt.

I also made the rest of my "Sweet Cherry Orange" blocks and am ready to assemble the quilt.

See the other linkups at Granny Maud's Girl Blog.  She will post on April 1st.   Here is the official link-up post where you can see everyone's wonderful Bee, Myself, I progress.

Deana: A mix of projects going on...

I had the day off so I just sent several projects through the machine chain style.

Flower blocks:  I am making these from scraps for a friend.  This is just the start.

I made another row in my Periwinkle quilt.  This was made by family in a round robin and there were enough cut pieces left for another row so I decided to sew them up.

Here are my March Stashbee stars.  I have had one block done for awhile but wanted to do a second one.  I hope Lori, Hive 2 in the Stashbee, likes them as much as  I enjoyed making them.

I also joined together some Dear Jane rows and made four more blocks in my "Sweet Cherry Orange" quilt.

I live in a beautiful desert and close to Moab.  We went jeeping this weekend and saw some beautiful places.

Deana: This and That

So, I am always working on more than one thing at a time.  I think it entertains me.  Here is my design wall showing a variety of projects but mostly my "Sweet Cherry Orange" quilt.  Thank you Hive 2 for all of your lovely blocks!

Over the past two days I completed the following:

Two Sweet Cherry Orange Blocks...I also received one in the mail - Thank you Hive 2!

One Periwinkle Block...I am adding an additional row to this quilt and have the other blocks nearly ready to sew up the last seams.

One star block for Lori in my Stashbee Hive...I plan to make her another star in blue but have not yet decided on the pattern.  I got this one off of Youtube with the Missouri Quilt Company.  While I love the block and thoroughly enjoyed making it, I do not like that the outside edges are all on the bias.  I may make more of these blocks again some time, but my starter hst will be cut straight rather than on the bias.

Deana: Hive Crashing for Bonnie and Jane and Block Lotto

I participate in the Stashbee monthly and occasionally, like this month, I crash other hives.  I loved making this block and hope Bonnie enjoys it.  Great, easy, fun pattern!

Jane was in my hive last year and was very kind to make me a block in February even though she is not in my hive this year.  I suppose once you are hivemates you always are.  I made her a cowboy as payback.  I hope she likes it.

I also made 5 block lotto blocks.  I won in November so I doubt I will again anytime soon, but I LOVE THESE BLOCKS!
