Deana: January Quilter's Garden Mystery Revealed

Hello Blogland!  How was your Christmas?  Mine was wonderful.  It is so nice to have my daughter home from her mission and the whole family together again.

Let me reveal to you "Quilt Shop Lane", the newest row for the Quilter's Garden.  I just don't think a quilt about quilting would be quite right without quilt shops.  I have more details to add and some constructional changes to make, but here is the sneak peak on where we are headed for the month of January.

I am changing the windows on the first shop below and maybe adding a roof to the second.  Sometimes things just don't come out right the first time.

As a reminder, late comers are welcome to this mystery.  If you make and swap at least one block then you get the next month's pattern for free.  Previous patterns are available in my Craftsy shop or Etsy Shop.

I have also made much progress on my Grand Illusion Mystery by Bonnie Hunter.  I only have Parts 3 & 4 to complete and both are well started.

I am also promoting my newest QAL for 2015.  It does not have a name yet;  suggestions are welcome.  It will be a free pattern with tutorials appearing at Fort Worth Fabric Studio's blog once a month beginning Jan 20th.  I will be posting my fabric selection photos soon.  Come and join the fun!

Free Pattern for a QAL starting January 20th

I am thrilled to announce that I have been invited to be a blog contributor for Fort Worth Fabric Studio in Texas!  You should check out all of the wonderful fabrics they have over there.

I have designed a medallion/log cabin style QAL for them which will launch on January 20th.  A free tutorial will be provided each month on their blog with the instructions you will need to make this quilt.  It will go for five months with one block tutorial provided each month.  January's will release on the 20th and February through May will release the second Tuesday of each month.  I have yet to decide on a name, so ideas are welcome.

Please join me and put Jan 20th on your calendar!  It will be fun.  If enough people are interested in making the quilt, I may host a blog for us to post our progress.  Fort Worth Fabric Studio also has a great Friday linky party where you can post your progress as well.

Here is a sketch of the quilt.  Color placement may vary slightly as I create it.  Yardage instructions will be provided Jan 20th on Fort Worth Fabric Studio's blog.

Check out Fort Worth Fabric Studio's Friday Fabric Bundle each Friday.  Last week's was so delicious and is called Aqua Red Crush.  I have purchased fabric bundles from them before and have been very pleased with the fabric and the service.

I have made a lot of progress on the Quilter's Garden January row, but it is not quite ready to reveal yet.  Please stay posted.
