Quilt Shopping...
We ran to the next state for an overnighter to buy race car tires and drove right past a QUILT SHOP!!!
This is what I came home with...
A panel of super cute houses as well as some fabrics to go with it. I generally don't purchase panels, but I LOVED IT!
The next week I went to a teacher training upstate and went to the Cornwagon Quilt Shop. I came home with these. I have no idea what they will become, but I love them.
Christmas Row Quilt just needs a border - yay!

Dabbling in a few things
I guess you could say I've been sewing in whatever direction the wind blows. Whatever caught my eye this week is what I sewed.
It was determined that Santa needed a mustache.
Reindeer legs are cut and one set is assembled.
Sand Dollar has begun some assembly. The circles still need to be blanket stitched on.
10 birds came to life in a new project I started called "For the Birds". It is a Buggy Barn pattern I am doing with a friend. We only work on it together a couple of days a month. We have also cut out watering cans, flowers, and birdhouses to go with the feathered friends. We plan to put a bicycle on the back of the quilt. It is pretty fun.
No To Do Tuesday goals this week. We have a dirt bike/motorcycle overnight trip planned for this coming weekend with the whole family. Well, it is snowing pretty good outside at the moment, so we shall see how the weather looks in a few days.
I wish you all happy sew days ahead!!

FNSI
Before moving into my quilty week, I wanted to post a link to information about temples . Some Chooky group friends asked me some questions at our last gathering, and I wanted to share the official church info with them. I love the videos and photos inside the temple.
Oh, and I forgot to post a photo from the wedding. I really liked these:
I sewed alone on Friday afternoon but with a friend most of the day Saturday. We got all of our Sand Dollar blocks pieced an trimmed. Now for the center circle applique'. They get cute once the center is on them. The idea of appliqueing 88 circles is a little daunting. These blocks finish at 5 1/2".
One Monthly Goal Update:
I also got really close to done on my Christmas Row Quilt. All it needs is blanket stitch applique on the truck, legs on the reindeer, and a border. The tree section was completely done improv style.
PHD Update:
No new starts, no finishes for 2022, but Masterpiece is ready to be quilted and Christmas Row Quilt is nearly there.

Lay out decided for Christmas Quilt
I got Mr. Nutcracker pretty much put together except for the blanket stitch applique' I need to do around his applique' parts. I love him and think he will really add to this quilt. His designer is Amy Warner of sewincrediblycrazy.
I also assembled three rows together and decided the layout. This quilt is well on its way to a finish.
Here are before and after shots to show my Gingerbread embroidery progress this month. It is getting pretty close.
