It has been a December tradition to link up with the Best of 2023 Linky Party. The idea is to revisit 5 of our favorite posts for whatever reason we choose.
Here goes!
#1 Favorite Quilting Memory - Scrub Stitchin' Retreat in Australia
Honestly, I made several posts about that retreat and it was impossible to pick a favorite. Some were old friends, many were new friends, but all of them are a treasure to me. Doing this with my sister was an amazing choice and the right one! This trip was the first time I had met all of these women in person for the first time (except my sister of course.)
#2 Favorite finish post - making these crazy stitchers was a joy (when they were complete) and tedious. It was worth it.
#4 Moab and beautiful machine quilting performed by my Quilt Fairy
The beautiful and creative way she quilted this simple quilt has made it a favorite. Honestly, the quilting can make or break a quilt.
#5 Three tops displayed on hangers ready for the quilter. I started all of these quilts in Australia at Scrub Stitchin'. I kept them on display for a few weeks before taking them to the quilter because I just enjoyed looking at them.
Scrub stitchin' was amazing what an experience to meet so many wonderful people and from all over the world. Are you planning a return trip? I'm hoping to go bake one year. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Deana, lots of lovely memories there - as well as some great blog posts! Very cool to see the photo of Scrub Stitching. I wonder if you enjoyed the 'hanger quilts' because of the memories of what was going on when you sewed them? It was lovely to meet you this year....Here's to a Happy 2024!
