Cutting more barnyard blocks and NYB

Hello blogland!  I was excited to get my barns and pigs cut last night for my barnyard quilt.  I left the pigs at my friend's house because the pieces were too small for transport.  Here are some photos of my barn stacks.  I am doing one quilt in batiks and the other in country fabrics.

I also made another New York Beauty block.  I love love love these cuties so much!

  1. Those barns are so cute and will look so different. I LOVE those NYB blocks too. That new one is nice with that added row of staggered points.

  2. HAHAHAHAHA! I can't say I ever have heard someone say they left their pigs at their friends house, in any context. Those barns sure look realistic. You have been sharing some fabulous projects - I am still thinking about Ariel. There is no way on this earth I could paper piece that block, so I will continue to drool over yours. I was able to find the pattern though! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Deana, when you cut your barns, pigs, goats, farm animals do you cut them out one at a time or do you cut out a stack of them .. One on top of the other.

  4. Your New York Beauties are striking. I love them too. I like your barn pieces too and am trying to figure out where your tiny pigs fit in.

  5. Love your NY Beauties! Is that a paper pieced pattern? A NY Beauty is on my bucket list for sure...maybe sooner than later now that I've seen yours. Gotta find a pattern!

  6. Is the animal/farm quilt a Buggy Barn quilt? It is very effective and I particularly like the country fabrics you have chosen in the barn block. Always amazing how different fabrics make patterns look so different.

  7. Love the barn blocks! I couldn't pick a favorite between your two color ways. It's going to be fun to watch each quilt develop.
