Where did March go? I was so busy that I honestly cannot even begin to tell you what I did with it other than go to work, do my job, and keep things going at home.
There was a lot of reading, weekend travels, and resting -- all of which made for a happy me.
A few exciting things happened:
My grandsons are just little, but they have started wrestling.
My daughter's family is in the process of moving close to us - yay!!
My son's family have visited in spite of moving further away.
I survived Core Testing.
There are great things ahead as well. For example, I am currently on "Spring Break"! Love it!!
What have I sewn this month? Not a lot.
This one is quilted and ready to be trimmed.
Some stitching happened during zoom. I started on the gingerbread part.
I am going to two retreats in April. At the second one I am taking a Quilt Coat Class. I got this "free fabric" off a free table at the last retreat I attended and decided to have it quilted up. Both the front and the lining were free. I am making my first Quilt Coat out of it just to do some learning. Once I prove to myself that I can do it, I want to actually piece the sections before quilting another one. I am excited.
Life can be incredibly busy at times. The fabric for your coat looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteOooh! So excited to see how the coat goes! And congrats to the grandkids!
ReplyDeleteYou are making my head spin, Deana, but it is all so much fun! Your grandkids are adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteWould be great to watch these tiny little guys wrestle.. love the boots….
ReplyDeleteSometimes there’s other things in life that need doing so don’t have time to sew.
The Quilt coat looks interesting.
Enjoy your retreats….

ReplyDeleteI’m surprised you got any stitching done with so much else going on. I’ll be very interested to see how your coat goes. I love the pattern you have chosen.
ReplyDeleteLove the cowboy boots with the wrestling gear, very cute! Hope you can find some time for stitching while you are on spring break. Your quilted coat is going to be very pretty, love the fabrics you've picked for it.
