Thank goodness for this challenge because I have a top done that otherwise would not have made it to this stage.
I made it small. It is a good throw size. I need to make a back and binding.
What else have I been sewing in February? Not much. I did start this simple quilt at a fabulous retreat I attended last weekend.
The blocks are close to done. They were made from a layer cake.
Here are a couple of retreat photos.
The best of friends. I think we quilters need each other.
Do any of you follow the Happy Quilter? She taught at this retreat.
I know my posts are out of order, but here is a linky party to show off your February Chookshed Challenge Progress.
Congrats on the finish Deana…
ReplyDeleteGreat start to the quilt at retreat with your lovely friends.
Yes I have followed Melissa for many years and joined in some of her SALs.

ReplyDeleteLovely top and I really like the dark background in those blocks.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing your beautiful sampler quilt top, Deana! I bet that feels great! :)
ReplyDeleteThe quilt tops are lovely and yes I think we quilters inspire each other especially at retreat and during challenges.
ReplyDeleteLovely, I like the dark background it makes those colours POP.
ReplyDeleteSo many fun blocks in your finished quilt top. Congrats on all the progress in February. I didn't do so hot last month. I'm hoping to do better this month.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your progress. Retreats are the best.
