How pretty, Deana! You quilt on a domestic machine, right? Do you use rulers at all (meaning the way folks hold them on the fabric while stitching)? I haven't tried that yet, and keep thinking I'd like to. I was wondering if you used points to eyeball the straight diagonals on the border, or used a ruler to sew those, or marked them first?
Ooh, this is a beauty! I've had clamshells and apple cores percolating in the back of my brain lately, wanting to try one or the other as my first EPP project (not that I have any business starting ANOTHER new project without finishing anything first!). What size are the apple cores in this quilt, and do you know whether she pieced them with EPP, traditional hand piecing, or by machine? I love how the elaborate quilting is a surprise on the backing side. When you flip this one over, it's a spectacular whole cloth quilt!
Wow! I love the way you quilted this quilt. Your work is amazing!

ReplyDeleteOh wow. I didn't notice all that great quilting from the front but love the back view.
