MARIE: TWO FINISHED PROJECTS AND 2 OLD PHOTOS

I finally have a finish and am including photos of a quilt I finished the end of October.

This Chevron quilt is for my granddaughter who will be getting married in a few months. She chose the colors and design. I enjoyed quilting this quilt as I am learning how to quilt on my domestic sewing machine.  I loved doing the free motion quilting.  I did see progress from the beginning to the end.

I call this quilt Autumn Kaleidoscope. I did a lot of free motion quilting on this quilt, and it was good practice for me.  It's not perfect, but I like it.  One problem I had was that I failed to prewash the purple batik that I used for the inner border and the little squares.  When I washed the quilt some of the color bled onto the back of the quilt. Hopefully I will remember the lesson that I learned from this quilt.

Both of these baby quilts were made many years ago (2001).  I recently found the photos for the train and frog quilts and wanted to include them with my other quilt photos.  I was just starting to piece quilts when I made these quilts and had a great time making them while I was recovering from a broken leg.  They are both hand quilted.

I have 3 quilt tops that are waiting to be quilted. I have another one that is partially quilted.  I also have some quilt tops that are partially pieced; so I have plenty of projects to keep me busy for a while. I hope to post another finish before two many months.

Those frog legs crack me up. Which grandchild gets to enjoy that one and the fun cars?
