Deana: One finish and making blocks

I was finally able to get Joann's quilt done.  I just love how it turned out and hope she feels the same.  This quilt is my February finish although it is posted in March.  I was unable to get a finish in January, but hope to get one in the following months for 2016.

I have also been making Stashbee blocks for my quilt.  Members of my hive made many, but I need to make more to get a good sized quilt.

I cut out 13.

And here is a Kaleidoscope Quilt for that linkup party:   Felicity made it for Becky in our family round robin last year.

  4. Wow! Looking at the top of your quilt I had no idea what hidden treasures were quilted into this beauty. The back is absolutely gorgeous. Your bee blocks are so much fun, too. Love the colors.

  8. Dear Deana,
It's a pleasure to have you participating to my Fabric, Thread and Yarn link party. You are such a talented lady.
I'm amazed by the number of little squares you've assembled together to make Joann's quilt. And, again, your gorgeous quilting makes the back worthy of being put on top. This quilt can be turned according to one's mood! The space around the central motif is stunningly beautiful.
P.S.: I'm still working on my Shimmer Braids quilt, one little step at a time. :-)

  9. That turned out so pretty, Deana. Love the large-scale floral print so much, and the quilting on the inner checkerboard gave the prettiest two-for-one whole-cloth quilt on the back!

  13. Hello Deana,
The quilt for Joann is absolutely amazing. I love the way you have used the diagonal lines from quilting the squares as a framework for the free motion quilting. Joann will have trouble deciding which way up to lay it.
Thank you for linking up with Free Motion Mavericks!
    Love, Muv
