Deana: 2Q Finish Along Report

I just remembered that it is time to check up on my 2nd Quarter Finish-Along wish list.  Well, I did and I was a little disappointed.  I had set my goals high for the quarter with 6 quilts to finish.  I only finished one but made great progress on the others.  In my defense, my daughter had a wedding the end of May and I got a new Juki sit-down longarm the middle of June.  I decided to wait and do my quilting on it which was too late and too busy of a month to machine quilt 6 tops.

Here is my one finish.  It is called Hexagon Pleasure and has been a UFO for over 15 years.  Yep, I'm pretty happy to have that one done.

This is how it looked in April all basted and partially quilted.

This is how it looks now.

As for the other 5 projects, here is my report.

Mom's Black and Gold
I almost made it on this one, in fact, I will finish it up today.  It only needs a couple more hours of quilting.

Shimmer Braid
I was able to get it basted and ready for quilting.

Dorinda Quilt - this one is mostly applique' and hand quilted.  This quilt started my quilt blogging life and is in the banner at the top.

I am happy to report that this one will come off the frames today - yay!  For a queen-sized hand quilting project, I am pretty excited.

Snowman Embroidery - this is the before shot.
and here is what it looks like now complete with borders.

Quilter's Garden - no progress

I am linking up this post with the 2nd Quarter 2015 Finish-Along.

  1. Wow so many wonderful quilts! I am sure you are glad to have some finished. Love the snowman border. I haven't even got my Quilter's Garden top done, so you are ahead of me, lol!

  3. I'm betting that now that you have your longarm, you'll be finishing those up speedy quick.
