Dreams
I think I have been abducted by quilt aliens. I am now dreaming of creating quilts. I usually can't remember what I created in my sleep, but I woke up this morning at 3 am, having a dream about a quilt creation. I got up and drew it out on paper. The details are sketchy, still, but the main idea is on paper. I dreamed I was making a "Windows to My Heart" quilt. It had large window panes with pictures of my favorite things instead of glass. In the center was a large red heart. Oh the possibilities!

Those are always the best dreams. That is why I keep pen and paper next to the bed, to sketch things out when I wake up too.
ReplyDeleteI dream about quilts alot but usually they are bad, like open seams and wavy borders. lol
ReplyDeleteI don't dream about quilts--I simply can't sleep because I am creating, planning, figuring out how blocks fit together, choosing colors, etc. etc. I especially do this when I sew just before I go to bed. I guess I'm daydreaming in the night. I hope you will make that quilt. It sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy problem isn't the night dreams but the day dreams. I dream all day long about sewing quilts. It greatly distracts me from my other tasks. I even dream about other quilts while I'm sewing on a different one.

Ummm, do you think we all have an addiction? What's the cure? Maybe when we get all the quilts sewn up that we're dreaming about it will go away! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, I think we are addicted. And, Marie, I think we will just keep dreaming. Will we still hold our retreats when we are in our 90s? Haha, & LOL
