Our trek to St George was very profitable for the quilt shops. Ha Ha.
I got the backing for the bug jar quilts for Ryan, Jackson, & Maclay's quilts. I was able to get Maclay's completed. I put Blanket Binding for the binding, as he is the one who likes the silky feeling of the edges of the blankets. I did "stitch in the ditch" and it really made the jars stand out. Maclay turned 3 the end of July, so it will be a belated birthday gift. The other boys birthdays are in October, so I have some time to get them done. What a fun project.
My August stars. They have been done for a while, but I did not get the picture taken until today. They worked up fast, once I got them cut out.
I love the bug jars! I really like the sashing. You really finished that fast!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got one done already! I think I know what you did on Friday and Saturday.
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! I'm Star Crazy behind but I'll get my time organized.
Most of what I did Fri. night, I had to unpick. I was hurrying to get it ready for Sat evening when we got together. We had not seen Maclay since his birthday and it was part of his present.
