September Chookshed number draw and progress linky

Sorry this post is a day later than usual.  I spent the last two days driving 8 1/2 hours (one direction) to New Mexico and back.  There was no time to stop and post.  I just couldn't get a few minutes together to post before I left.

The Chookshed Challenge 2025 is nearly over as we only do ten months.  That works great for me because I am a bit behind and hope to use the last two months of the year to catch back up.  With only two numbers left to draw, it really won't be a big surprise what we get to work on in September.  The challenge number is ... #3!

My number 3 is a Sashiko project.  Hmmmm.  I don't have a pattern picked out yet.  The plan was always to do something small like a pillow cover. Since I am super close to finishing some tops from previous months, I suspect that I will work on them instead.  I feel a need to cross things off the list rather than start new.  Perhaps I will do my Sashiko during Christmas break in December when I am not working.

Last month was a bust for me as far as the challenge goes.  I played hard the first couple week, prepped for school the next, and have been hyper focused on my students the rest.  I did make some houses for a round robin row quilt.  I am hopeful to get the rest of the row completed today so I can pass it on.  It is due today.

She is asking for houses in Lori Holt Fabrics. She made the first row. Each person adds a row when they get it.  I have selected a couple of patterns in my stash that will be paper pieced.  I also plan to throw in some more trees of some sort.

We are doing bi-monthly rotations for a year. I will be adding a row to this one over the next two months. She is calling it "Farm Life".

I will get this Beach Themed one for November/December.

Here is the linky.  Good luck everyone!
