I have had a wonderful week of sewing and relaxation.

I have been preparing for a couple of retreats I will be attending this week and next.

First, I finished my three flowers in "Autumn Afternoon" and cut out all the blocks for the rest of the quilt.

All of the pieces are organized by block into pockets in this project bag I made a few years back.  There are quite a few more pockets than you can see.

I started a new quilt.  This Double Dresdon has been on my list for awhile.  My friend is making one, and of course, I fell in love with it.  I cut out enough to make 24 blocks.

The pieces are neatly organized in this project bag.  A variety of colored gingham fabrics will be at the center of each one.  This is a great quilt for my scraps.

Below is a photo of a quilt pattern called Halo.  I purchased this pattern after watching Rebecca from Rebecca Grace Quilting make hers.  The quilt on the pattern is shown below, and you can see Rebecca's by clicking the link.

I had most of it already cut out, but this week I was able to finish cutting the rest out.  It is ready for sewing.

I also finished the applique' on these two fish.

All of my projects for the next two weeks are packed and ready to load into the car.

I purchased this little suitcase for the purpose of putting my Featherweight in.  It too is loaded and ready to go.  The kitted bags you can see are all round robin blocks that I cut this week.  They have been packed into the suit case.

The first retreat is where I anticipate getting some things done.  There will be free sew, new friends, old friends, and yummy food prepared for us.

At the second retreat I will be teaching a class and taking three classes.  I do not anticipate getting much sewing done.

Have a happy sewing week!
