15 Minutes and bag making progress

What have I been up to?  I am making bags for Christmas.  Here is an update.

The purple one is complete while the other two just need hand binding.

I am also making these byannie bags.  The outside of the bag and inside/outside pockets are ready to sew down tomorrow after work.  Next will be the pages that velcro inside.

The Duck,  Duck,  Goose quilt blocks finally have the blanket stitching complete. I still need to embroider them. That is good because baby boy will arrive in 2 weeks.  The bag with ducks on it goes with the quilt.

Thanksgiving was wonderful with everyone in attendance except my son's family who just moved out of state. These are the only photos I took. Our daughters with their husband's can be seen.

The girls and  I completely shared the cooking duties making it easy for all.  We had turkey, stuffing, potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, homemade tapioca pudding, home made candied yams, apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate pie, jello salad, and green salad.

I made aprons made from tea towels for the littles .  They say, "You are the Pumpkin to My Pie."  The kiddos LOVED them!

Their moms told them to give me a big thank you hug!

We went shooting clay pigeons in the afternoon.  Because it snowed this week, we all brought home mud on our boots.  My first shot in years - nailed it!  I was only good for a few more shots after that because the gun is just too big and heavy for me.  It kicks too.  I came home with a bruised arm.
