Oops...late for I Like Thursday #36

This is part of a group "I Like Thursday" link party.  Check out the others on Leeanna's blog here.

Summer break makes me lose track of the days of the week, and it is wonderful to not be busy.

We had a wonderful family gathering for a baby blessing Sunday. This is my entire family with my parents included on the left and my mother in law on the right. We have three children, two sons in law, a girlfriend, and seven grands.

We had a good sized group.  It is wonderful to be back together with Covid vaccinations moving along.

The kids broke a piñata.

Some of us spent Friday and Monday together hauling firewood, riding motorcycles, and working hard clearing trees off my daughter's property. I ran the wood chipper for hours chewing up trees. My husband ran a chain saw while others drug trees to the wood chipper and dug a culvert. It was also 100 degrees outside...crazy hot.

Worked on Feathered Goose yesterday. It feels great to be piecing instead of quilting. I cut all the pieces for the blue and black rings and began to pin the finished ones to the flying geese units.

  1. Wonderful family pictures! It’s great that everyone was able to celebrate the special event. That must have been toasty work in those temperatures. Yikes! Your piecing looks fantastic.

  3. You have quite a crew in those pictures. My family is relatively small, but My Guy's is huge (he's one of 9), but since my MIL passed we haven't had the whole family together. Feathered Goose is looking great! Happy stitching this week.
