I like having a hobby during cold winter evenings. It gives me a reason to run home after work and be excited about something!
I have been excited about my new Windmill project. There will be twenty blocks. I hope to be half done by the end of the week.
I also love that we are expecting snow in our mountains over the next week. I hope we get enough to sustain us through the summer and fall. I am also thankful to not have go over the mountain and drive in it.
Check out everyone's "I Like Thursday" posts linked at Not Afraid of Color.

These are really pretty! The black adds so much to it.
ReplyDeleteI love those blocks! Do you applique a center over them? I like the colors, too - this will look great when it's done!

ReplyDeleteYou are zooming through those pretty windmills.
ReplyDeleteYou are making great progress with your windmill blocks. Do you need the show to then melt and provide water for the summer? For drinking and general life?
ReplyDeleteI love your windmill blocks - looks like you're making good progress on them! It's cold and snowy here, too. I'm definitely thankful not to have to drive up in the mountains, though!
ReplyDeleteWowsers! These blocks are so effective! Tell me they are really easy!! 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteDear Deanne, lovely blocks and you added quiet a few. You'll make it.
ReplyDeleteGood progress with the Windmill blocks....
ReplyDeleteYour Windmills are coming along beautifully! Love the soft colors with the bits of dark pieces. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWoW...looking forward to seeing the Windmill project progressing...xox
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat project. I was remarking recently that our snowfall has been down the past few years. While I get tired of the cold and the snow some years I remember the cold kills lots of bugs and the water is always needed.
ReplyDeletewe are getting lots of snow for snowpack... hopefully it will not have to be used for more wildfires here again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful windmill blocks. It is nice to come home to a fun project, it makes it much easier to want to go sew when you are all tired from the work day. We got our share of snow this week, actually a lot more than we get in a typical year. I'm ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the windmills.... What pattern is that.....
