My niece, Abbey, came for a short visit again this year. She is 13 and sews with precision beyond her years. She is participating in our family round robin. Here you see Abbey showing her row attached to mine before we pass to the next group member.
Abbey took a picture of me quilting an older round robin for Mom.
We had a great time together before she went home. She lives 3 hours away.

It's so good to see a teenager sewing! Both of your rows look great together. I'm sure her mom will be surprised when she gets it back. Looks like you had a great visit. Hope she gets to visit you again soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely photo of you. Such special memories. She will remember this for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she enjoyed it as much as you did. It looks like she did an amazing job on hers. Those are such wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat dedication from Abbey - having to travel three hours to work on her secret project. It looks like she does fabulous work.
ReplyDeleteAbbie will be amazing - she already is, but I mean as her skills mature, she's going to make some fantastic quilts. She certainly has enough good examples around her. Strangely, I know another Utah Abigail who started quilting very early and is also a wonderful quilt maker now at 18. =)
