Two long days of cabin building

Hello blogland. How was your Easter?  Did you get a break from normal life?  I did and there are still 4 more days before I head back to work.

As mentioned in earlier posts,  I am  making two identical quilts composed mostly of log cabins. I literally spent two long days sewing them but they are done. I had the pleasure of playing with my grand baby and daughter.  Daughter pressed for me while 10 month old Ira crawled around exploring grandma's house.  He is such an amazingly good baby.  He is happy and self entertained.

Here are the piles of 112 log cabins finishing at 7"as well as a start on my Bear Paw blocks.

As I mentioned in an earlier post,  my pattern for this quilt is on my laptop which isn't working.  I was just using a photograph of the quilt to navigate.  It was a bit challenging until I recalled that I had made a quilt a few years back with the very same blocks.  I pulled it out and used it as a guide.

I have a multi project design wall to share today.  It shows the effect of the log cabin blocks.  I've also got Pieceful Country up and a paper pieced village awaiting the construction of more houses. The lavender, mint,  and grey grids are for bags I am making. I need to finish one more 4 x 12 panel.

  8. You've got some wonderful blocks up on your design wall. Hope the computer problems are getting resolved. That's such a frustrating thing to deal with.
