My quilting class at school ended today and so I came home with nearly finished tree blocks. I sewed for about an hour and then trimmed them up. This is the basic layout I am planning for this quilt - I LOVE IT! I am so proud of my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. They are amazing!
They made 4 extra barns that I will put on the back. One is not in the photograph because it needs to be sized.

Those are fabulous. You should be proud of them, but they had a good teacher too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking quilt this will be...
ReplyDeleteSo good to see these blocks...hopefully some of them have discovered a wonderful hobby for themselves with your help.
ReplyDeleteThese barns are adorable - they did a fantastic job! You should be very proud of their work
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you get to teach quilting at school! That is fantastic. They don't have anything close to home-ec, let along quilting, in the schools here. Pretty pathetic.
ReplyDeleteWow these are wonderful! Paper piecing is hard enough, but as your first quilting project it must have been nearly impossible! Yet your kids rose above that challenge and created something so beautiful! Of course you're proud! Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss.
