I have decided to join Esther's BOM called "Entwined". It is lovely. I am not really a pink person and I especially don't like to mimick another quilter's fabric colors, but pink is what I will be using along with black and a deep salmon/rusty red color. I purchased fat quarters out of these fabrics for friends at Christmas. We are a group of quilters who have been sewing together for many many years. It was decided at the Christmas party that we would all make something out of these fat quarters and share a finished project in August. I planned to do something small, but Esther's design seemed to fit the fabrics.
I am not going to start until I finish one or two more tops though. I just can't justify a new project without a finish especially since this one is all hand applique'. Here is my fabric pull:
And here is my progress on this star quilt. I am halfway. I want to have it done in two days. It would be easy except for I work full-time. I am quilting it on the machine which you can only see if you zoom in a little.
