Deana: Dear Jane came back for the weekend!

This weekend I sat at the car races.  My husband races a late model car on a dirt track.  I was smart and took some hand work with me. Some of it I can't show you because it is a secret family round robin project, but I did get two Dear Jane blocks hand appliqued.  I put a pen between them to show how small they are.

I also got most of Mom's Black and Gold quilt quilted, but I will wait and show it tomorrow when it is entirely complete.

I have not worked on this project in a year and a half.  Here is the quilt thus far.

I am linking up today with:

  3. Ooh, your Dear Jane blocks are looking spectacular! It must be so exciting by now! I have the book and the EQ software to print out patterns, and I've been collecting fabrics for a DJ but am trying to force myself to finish up a few other stray projects first. Your progress is very inspiring!

  6. That sounds like the best place to do a Dear Jane! I hope you had air conditioned seating inside somewhere. =) Good progress on everything, it sounds like.

  8. My, you are doing some lovely work in some tough conditions there Deana. We used to go to my uncle's stock car races and I know that is not exactly a peaceful place to be peaceful. Your Dear Jane is looking wonderful so far! Anyone who can finish one of these is a champion quilter!

  9. Part of the fun of a Dear Jane is that you can pick it up and put it down, doing a bit as the whim takes you. The whim to start hand quilting mine has not yet taken hold. Sigh.
