Deana: Family Round Robins revealed

My family met last night for a wonderful dinner and visit.  We ended the night with the girls exchanging their round robin quilts.  It was a mystery as to who received which quilt until last night.

For this mystery we all started with the same 9 fat quarters of Blue Lagoon Artisan Shimmer fabric and then added what we wanted to it.  I can't believe how they all look so different.

My sister, Tracy, organized this beautiful brown and blue quilt for Mom.  She picked up some browns from the Artisan Shimmer collection.  I wish you could see the beautiful Shimmer fabric better in the photo.

My sister in law, Felicity, organized this gorgeous Americana quilt for my sister, Tracy.

I organized this one for my sister, Jodi.  I will be selling a pattern for it later this spring when I get a chance to write it.

My sister-in-law, Becky, organized this wonderful "Storm at Sea" for ME!!!  I LOVE IT!!!  I have always wanted a "Storm at Sea" quilt and I love the blues and yellows.

My Mother organized this beautiful braid quilt for my sister-in-law, Becky.

I loved this quilt so much that it inspired me to design the "Shimmer Braid" QAL.  The braids in my design came straight from this inspirational quilt as well as the fabrics.

  5. How different they all are, even though each started with the same nine fabrics. Fascinating. I have a personal favourite, but I will keep it to myself as they are all wonderful.
