Deana: Silhouettes Started

I got a good start on the silhouettes today for the horse quilt.  I wanted to needle turn them but the details are just too intricate.  I fused them and will be doing an invisible thread applique instead.

The best part about these is they were created from real photos of my son on his horses.  I am getting excited!

This one is of him in front and his dad in the back.

This one is just my son.

  1. Wow, I love how you have the quilt so personal with photos too. Did you create your own silhouettes? The quilt is a gem!
I want to Thank You for stopping by and linking up with “Anything Goes Monday”. I so have enjoyed being a guest host and meeting so many new quilty friends. I just started following you through GFC and B/L (so I don’t miss out on your posts) and look forward to more of your creations. What a wonderful blog you have!

  2. I love this. What's funny is I had been thinking about doing that same thing on one of my quilts. Then I saw you post about it and thought I'd see how yours came out first!! :) It looks amazing and your son will love it!
