I finally have a photo to show some progress on the horse quilt. I like the way the circle breaks into the blue border, but I have yet to stitch those two overlaps down. The borders are laid out, not sewn on. I wanted to see what it looks like so far. I still have much applique' work to do; I plan to do silhouettes of cowboys and horses in the gold border followed by a final pieced border. I think I am liking it. I am realizing that there is much space for quilting, so I'd better put on my thinking cap for quilting ideas.
I am also working hard on the November row in the Quilter's Garden swap. There are just some final touches and decisions I need to make. I generally like to post the new month by now, but the design just isn't quite where I want it yet.
