Deana's August goal report

I think I did okay for August on my goals.  It was not perfect, but I still feel that I accomplished quite a bit.  School started too and I am a teacher, so I will have to back off some on my lists.

 1.  Quilt my family round robin red flowers
BEFORE

FINISHED August 29

2.  Cut out and kit the "surprise" round robin for the next round.  We are all starting with the same 9 fat quarters and can add anything to it we want.  I can't wait to see what we all end up with.

FINISHED August 16

3.  8 Dear Jane Blocks - FINISHED ONLY 7

The bottom end one on the right is started but not finished.  I need to resize the applique pieces as they are not fitting in the square.
Top row:
J5 John Jacob's Windmill
J6 Granny Weaver
J7 Chicken Tracks

Middle Row:

J8 Anna's Anchor
J9
J10 Chieko's Calia Lily

Bottom:
J12 Rebecca's Basket
 J11 Twin Sister

4.  Baste the second Windmill quilt for quilting.
 FINISHED Aug 19

Because of all the inquiries I have received over a pattern for this quilt, I am working on a pattern for it and will post it in my Etsy shop soon.  I will post a link on my blog when it is ready.  Please leave a comment with your email if you would like an email when it is ready.

5.  Design and piece the center of the horse quilt.  Applique on it is not expected to be done this month.
FINISHED Aug 16

6.  Baste mom's birthday quilt.
FINISHED Aug 13

You can see that I have begun to quilt it.

7.  Sew 10 Christmas Log Cabin Blocks - NEVER EVEN TOUCHED THIS ONE LAST MONTH.

8.  Design the first row for the Mystery Row Quilt Swap.  Click the link to find out more and leave a comment to join.  I will be revealing the theme and first row soon.
FINISHED Aug 21

9.  Write a pattern for the Windmill Quilt to sell. NOT DONE.

  1. Deana, that was a whopper of a list and amazing that you completed so much of it! All such wonderful work too! I would be feeling like a productive dynamo if I were you! Love the quilting on your red round robin!

  2. Love your Windmill and the Christmas Cabin quilts, do you have patterns, especially the Christmas one? You did a lot this past month, I tend to drool over what everyone does and wishes I had time to sit down and sew.
