Deana: New project...New Fabric

Mom and I went shopping yesterday.  I drove 4 hours and she drove 6 in one direction to get to the best Batik Quilt store anywhere.  It is called the Scrap Apple and is in St. George, Utah.  We are each making a horse quilt.  Below are the fabrics I came home with and I have already pieced part of the circle the horse will go inside of.

The first photo shows the pattern for the horse and the size of it on the top of a queen sized bed. 

The photo below shows my sketch of what the top of the bed will look like.  The horse goes in the center circle and will spill over into the black in places.
