Civil War blocks

Sorry, this one is blurry again. This is block # 22 and is called "Blockade"
Below is # 23 and is called "Illinois Roads" This is possibly the easiest quilt block I have ever made. It took 10 minutes to make. Cut 4 rectangles of both prints and sew them together to make 4 4" squares, then sew them together. It took almost that long to choose which prints to use to make this block.
My youngest daughter and her boys moved over the Memorial Day weekend, and I made here these cute hotpads from selvages. The back is the same as the binding.
They were so fun to make!
