State birds and flowers quilt: Dorine

This is the state birds and flowers quilt top that is one of the treasures Dena left in the basement. It was beautifully painted with fabric paints. No one in the family seems to know if Dena painted it or if her mother did, but I quilted it to give to the first of Gary's grandchildren that gets married.

This close-up shows more of the detail.

  1. It is so beautiful. The story is even better. I think it is so special that you would be the one sweet enough to finish it. The quilt should really mean something to the recipient.
