Dq- They are 8.5 inches. I liked the last one so much that I got up this morning and made 3 more. The quilt at the end should be the size for a double bed, but I am going to add a few more blocks to make it queen size. I plan to give this one to one of Vonda's kids. Robert spent a lot of time in the south with the Navy and he really enjoyed the history of the Civil War.
What wonderful blocks! It so fun to do something easy and fast every once in awhile.
