Deana: Dear Jane & Hexagon Progress

D-11 Snow Crystal:  33 pieces and 45 minutes.  I reconstructed this block for paper piecing.  It was a cinch.  I hoped to complete two Dear Jane blocks this week and YIPPEE, I did.  I will add numbers and the name to this post later.

Dear Jane Quilt Grand Total so far:  1134 pieces and 42 hrs 57 min.
I also hoped to get my hexagon quilt this far and I did.  Goals and goal accomplishments are so wonderful!  This hexagon quilt was made from a pannel fabric. It will have enough blocks for two quilts. I am trying to decide if I want to reverse the red and cream fabrics which would give the second quilt a red background.  For some strange reason, this quilt looks more stunning in the photo than in person.

Funny, you can faintly see my snowman hexagon quilt on the wall behind it.  It is an addicting pattern.

  3. Congrats on reaching those goals. You are making great progress. It will be great to see your Dear Jane quilt when you get it finished. Your work is beautiful. Your hexagon quilt is stunning. It's such a great pattern. I don't know how you figured all of it out, but I'm glad you shared it with us. My next project is to get mine quilted. I'm excited to see how it turns out, but I'm still not sure how to quilt it.

  4. I love your hexagon. Having seen the beginning, I am totally in love with how it is turning out. And your Dear Jane is coming along so nicely. Can't wait to see the finished product on that one too.
I have 3 tops that need to be quilted, but I have decided that I need to use the dining room table or a long table to do it. My machine cabinet is not long or wide enough to hold a big quilt. The baby quilt worked fine, but the queen size is too much!
