Yeehaw! Another finish for me! This little quilt is made from the leftovers of a quilt I designed years ago. It is hand embroidered and machine appliqued.
It was a very fun project to quilt on my Bernina sewing machine. Here is the back.
Below is the original, much larger quilt. The photo isn't so good, but the border is all trapunto. It took forever but was worth every stitch.
Gorgeous!!!. I have a whole new respect for machine quilting. After basting, my fingers are sore, and then I attempted to do the pattern I worked up. Not so easy on a real quilt as it is on a practice block. Anyway, after picking out the stitches on one block twice, I decide to work on my control and try to get my technique better. I am doing loops only, and they are far from perfect. They are not uniform in shape and my stitches are not uniform either. It's a good thing I am working on something that I probably will not give away.

ReplyDeleteI love it. I really like the way you quilted it with the daisies in the border. The colors are stunning too. You are one talented quilter!
