Pleasant Grove Heritage Festival Quilt Show

Today was our community Heritage Festival, a celebration to honor the pioneers who settled this area. A part of the celebration is a quilt show. The only judging is just people voting for their favorite quilt. There were about 80 quilts on display. Most were pieced and there were several wedding and birthday quilts on display. It was a fun show.
I saw this hexagon stack and whack and had to share, since this was fresh on our docket of projects. It was a Beetles theme and the kaleidescopes were very "Beetleie".
The center top block was pictures of the members of the Beetles.
This is Ryan's bug jar quilt
Jackson's quilt
And Maclay's
Oops, my Dorinda picture is upside down. Sorry.
This quilt was voted in the upper 5, and I won a gift certificate to a new quilt shop here in town. I was not pleased with the way it was put on display, as they folded over the top, with the pictures on it. But at least it did not touch the floor.
And finally, my September Star Crazy blocks.

  1. I thought the Sept blocks were a lot more time consuming than any other month. What did you think?

    I'll post picts soon.

  2. Yes, I thought they took longer, too. Glad someone else thought that too.
