Deana's Hexagon Fabrics

The above fabrics are the ones I'll be making my Hexagon quilt out of.  The light and dark pink are for my medallian center, brown for the spikes, and blue for the borders.  It's going to be a bit bright, but it will be fun.

These fabrics are the ones I've been using to do my "fix the pattern" Hexagon quilt.  I don't have a photo of the repeats fabric before I cut it, but you can see it a little from the instructions I emailed out.  On this one the borders are red, spikes are black, and the lights and darks are green.  The background fabric is a lovely batik with gold specks in it.

I am very happy to have had the opportunity to finally revise my pattern.  I've wanted to do it for years.  Also, I've had both of these "repeats" fabrics in a bin for years waiting to make this very quilt.  The Christmas fabrics will be enough for two quilts.  I plan to keep one and give the other two to my daughters as wedding gifts.

  1. Love your colors. I got all the strips cut that you sent out the instructions for. Thursday was my hospital quilt group and I spent the time there just getting the repeats cut and stacked. More of a challenged that I would have imagined.

  2. I'm sorry if you struggled on your repeats. You could have saved them until the retreat and I would have helped.
