Mrs. Santa joins the Christmas Quilt Blocks

Mrs. Claus helped me to participate in Lou's monthly Christmas challenge.  I just missed getting her done for January, so February will have to do instead.  She needs some facial embroidery at some point.  The directional word print was a bit of a challenge, but I like it.

Here are the other blocks I made previous to 2021 for this quilt.  I intended to do a row quilt, but we shall see how I feel about it once I get some more Christmas blocks completed.  The plan is eventually make one more Santa, some peppermint candy, two more gingerbread embroidery blocks,  a nutcracker, and some Christmas ornaments. I might only make one block a month, but it will still be progress.

I am linking up with several Thursday linkies:

  1. Cute Xmas blocks. The directional neutral fabric will blend into the background and it won’t be noticeable if it goes different ways.

  9. Beautiful Arizona quilt but not as gorgeous as those babies. YOu are so lucky to get to see and hold them. Meanwhile, these blocks are so cute; what a great job you are doing of them. Happy Stitching from me.

  12. Omg! This is such fun. There are probably enough blocks to make a puzzle type layout... with some additional filler fabric. Anything further will just add to the wonderfulness 😍😍

  17. What a fun project! I love the row of elf shoes across the bottom, too. I'm happy to see someone else working on a Christmas project today -- my own goal for today is to label and bind my Christmas Sweets double 9-patch quilt and get it off my UFO list (and off my cutting table, where I deliberately left it in my way so I couldn't forget about it!).

  19. Mrs. Claus turned out nicely! You did a great job with the directional print, that had to be a challenge. You've got some very fun blocks finished for this project. Some projects you just have to spread out and do slowly. Maybe at some point your quilt schedule will open up a bit and you can focus on finishing it up.
