Embroidery & Justin's Medallion

Well, I spent 16 hours of this past weekend in a car just so I could go visit my cute little 9 month old grandson.  Granddaughter who is only 8 months old went with us, and I cannot believe how sweet and good she was for so long in the car.  Time spent with my daughters, their husbands, and my husband was also very memorable.  The babies are too small to really play together, but they do like having another little person around.

During my travels I was able to hand stitch my house block.  My daughter who traveled with us did the angel block and nearly finished her.  I am anxious to put these with the other blocks.

I was also able to add to Justin's Medallion making the center more showy.  Oh I hope this quilt top becomes a flimsy this month.  It is what I am working toward among other things.

  6. oh my goodness! Your grandbabies are so very adorable! How fun for them to have a cousin their age. So you got a nice trip with grandkids together, and two finished blocks out of it. What a treat to have one stitched by your daughter for you. :)

  8. Your grandbabies are ADORABLE! It will be so much fun watching them grow, especially since they are so close in age. I also love that your daughter is helping with your blocks. I still hold hope mine will eventually cave and sew with me. I'm cheering you on! The medallion quilt is coming right along. I think you will have a flimsy in no time.
