I worked pretty hard on Diamond Hill today. I finished making all of the red diamonds around the outside,
sewed the "corners" for the applique' border,
finished the green and black hand stithing on the last two blocks,
and glue basted the vine on one corner.
I am hoping to have the top done by the end of the month so I can show it at a little retreat with friends. I gave them all fat quarters out of these fabrics for Christmas, and they decided that we all needed to make a quilt out of them and do a little show-n-tell in August. There is no way I can have mine quilted, but I will settle for a top done instead. I can't wait to see everyone else's quilts. I will be sure to take photos to share on my blog.

ReplyDeleteWonderful applique!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many lovely details on this quilt, I'm not sure where to begin... lovely applique, lovely B&W background fabrics, lovely design. Good luck with your finish goal.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are gorgeous! There are so many details -- like those striped triangles on the inner corners and the half-triangle squares beside them, plus the colors and fabrics you chose (not to mention the pattern itself) -- that make it a show-stopper! Love, love, love it.
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe the detail you have in those blocks, absolutely stunning!
