I finished my Stashbee block for Hive 7 this month. It is a star of my own design from 14 years ago. I redesigned it to make it simpler. The long wite spikes are inserts with the center end appliqued down. The rest is paper pieced. I redesigned it for my Americana pattern and will release it to my group November 1 along with the next row.
I hope she likes it. She said it could be any size and it is large - 18 1/2" x 24". I hope it makes up for not making two blocks which I usually try to do.

TGIF,
That is special enough that I think it might look nice on point as the centre medallion of a quilt. With so many different-sized blocks, however, I think the layout might be more 'organic' :).
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. My hive mates have completely exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to start playing with layouts for all the blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour block is amazing. I can't figure out how you put it together. I love it.
