I got the binding finished on this quilt last Saturday at state wrestling. I LOVE it!
My dear quilting friend, Loretta, came to town for a visit (she moved South) and brought her show stopping quilt to show me. It is so wonderful in person! She is entering it into a judged quilt show.
Loretta told me that the lady who designed this piece says she always designs her points to NOT TOUCH or FLOAT. It helps with those who are not so precise and also helps the quilter to get around the pieces. I will take this advice STRONGLY into account on my future designs.
I love your Buggy Barn Hearts quilt. The colors are fantastic and the workmanship is awesome, as usual. Congrats on getting it finished.
ReplyDeleteLoretta's quilt is indeed a "show stopper'. You'll have to let us know how it does in the show. I really love it, and what a great idea with the points. When I looked at it I didn't even notice that the points were all floating--just noticed how nice they looked. Interesting.
I too love your Buggy Barn. I am working on the blocks for my "Brier Rose" that I had started before the Dorinda project.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love that round star. Very interesting that the points float. That would be great for me.
I love the colors you used. What a cute quilt! You do amazing stuff.
