There is nothing fancy about the quilting, but it is done. This was my ruler learning quilt. I have used rulers many times before, but I used some new ones for the first time on this quilt. I particularly enjoyed the circles.
Now to make the binding and attach it. It is kind of funny I have a quilt done without a binding ready because I have a stack of 10 bindings rolled and ready for 10 other quilts that are not in need of one yet.
Trail Mix looks great. I love all the blocks in it.
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that you have all those binding ready and none are for the quilt that wants a binding! Sounds like something I'd do.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! Love the close-up shots of the blocks and your quilting.
ReplyDeleteeeeeek!!! I loveeeeee it!
ReplyDeleteI love your trail mix. I love looking at it and seeing a story. It's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt's really wonderful. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteLove it! It's the perfect mix of colors and design. And love your new trailer.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what beauties come out of scraps. Love the backing fabric.
ReplyDeleteYour circles look good. Do you quilt on a frame?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the finish, well done, your quilting looks wonderful. I love the backing fabric you have used.
ReplyDeleteWell done Deana, great job of the ruler quilting .....
ReplyDeleteMy ruler quilting is still up and down with its neatness and consistency... more practice required! I'd be interested in seeing some of the rulers you use and any recommendations.
ReplyDeleteIts a great quilt - lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteNice quilting and lovely quilt.
ReplyDeleteLooking good. I love how the circles give some movement to the quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt brings back fond memories of when I started dipping my toe into playing with layouts of traditional blocks. I love those tiny white and light squares creating pathways between the darker piecing. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteTrail Mix looks great. The quilting turned out beautifully too. So you just need bindings to finish off two quilts. That's a big leap towards finishing off your PHD for the year. Happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job using the rulers
ReplyDeleteIts done and so nice! congrats on the finish.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt! I really like how scrappy it is. Your quilting is very nice! Love that you did that using rulers. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteFabulous quilt for your ruler experiments! The new quilting designs look fantastic; you have surely mastered the circle rulers now. Great job! Now, back to those other 10 quilts with binding waiting patiently! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super quilt. Great design and lovely colour choices.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love how those little squares march across the quilt to make a secondary pattern on all the scraps!! And then I look closer at the scraps and see all the other blocks. Mmmm!! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt! Truly scrappy, a really striking combination of fabrics.
