YAY! I got it all quilted for her! Isn't she a beauty? I was so picky on this quilt because it is so pretty. I didn't want to mess it up with the quilting.
This was also my first quilt done on my new sit down longarm - Juki. Can I say I LOVE IT! It is so much easier than trying to get a large quilt in the small space of my Bernina plus I will save years on my Bernina.
I used rulers for the first time ever on this project as well. There would not have been enough space on my Bernina for those either.

Well what can say other than WOW! I love everything about this quilt!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing quilt. And the same for your organisational skills, I haven't even written my list of finishes, and you are ticking yours off....I think I need to stop reading quilt blogs, and do some quilting.
ReplyDeleteWow! That quilting is sublime! Congratulations on a great job, I'm very jealous you got to use a longarm! You're an inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteYour Mom's quilt is a stunner and you totally did justice to it with your quilting Deana! A lot of gorgeous details in it now and it looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHow fun about your Juki!

ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing and is lying so flat, how wonderful to see it finished and now can be enjoyed and admired by friends and family. jus glove that centre compass explosion. Cheers Glenda
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! And wait, you already have a finish for Q3??!! Whoa! I've been getting better at ruler work on my longarm... and yes, although I adore my Bernina, she doesn't have enough throat space to stuff a big quilt through. I really like the stylized hearts with curlicues you did in the triangles. Wonderful pebbles too. Great great work. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is spectacular. Good job!!! She will love it!!
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely stunning quilt - I love the colors, the piecing, the quilting - all of it!
ReplyDeleteWow. That is a work of art and clearly a labor of love.
