Deana: Dear Jane and Buckskin Mare

Hello Blogland!  Today I am showing progress on my Buckskin Mare.  I have also completed three more Dear Jane blocks.  After careful consideration, I have decided to throw out the red and return to blue on my rainbow Dear Jane.

Hi Deana! I like your choice of fabric around the horse. The beige batik, with its shades of orange, suits the mare and makes me think of fields in the fall. The circles and diamonds make a beautiful frame. It must have taken quite some time to stitch all those appliqués even if you say that you love it and it went fast... ;-)
I think that your three new Dear Jane blocks will blend perfectly in the rest of the quilt! You were very productive during the last week, I dare say.

Love the border on your buckskin. It's coming together well.
Your dear jane is a great effort. Keep it up
