FNWF was a date with Feathered Goose and quilting

Hello FNWF!  How was your weekend?  Mine was pretty good! I got a lot done, heard some good news as well as some bad news.

A few more Feathered Goose blocks were made.  The hardest blocks are completed.

I did a little bit of machine quilting.  This is the whole quilt.  I call it my memory round robin because I made one of each of these blocks for someone else's quilt that year while making one for myself as a memory.

This section is done.

I even went to the races.  Hubby took 4th!  This photo was taken at the house before we left.

D2, SIL2, and 2 grands were in attendance.  I managed to get a picture of this little cutie.
We BBQed and had a nice time.  He loved playing in the dirt and was covered head to toe by the time we went home.

His sister wanted to be with Grandpa!

Good News:  One of the twins is coming home today!  Yay!  I finally get to meet him!

Bad News:  My son who is living in another state is very very sick with Covid19 symptoms.  He was tested results yet.  Luckily we have not been with him for 3-4 weeks.

I am also linking up with:

  1. Beautiful Feathered Goose, it is a stunner! I hope your son recovers quickly. Good to hear one twin is headed home and hoping the other will be soon.

  2. As I already mentioned I LoVe the feathered geese quilt... & have added it to my TO-DO list.
Your GS is gorgeous & good on your hubbys win.
When you cuddle your new one I bet your face lights up...
Your memory quilt is just that... a MeMoRY... & a good one.
Hope your son gets better real soon. Covid 9- what a horror...

  3. Good news about your little twin. I'm so happy you will get some cuddles soon.
Sorry to hear about your son. Fingers crossed he is safe and healthy soon.
Looks like a great day at the races. Your grandies look like they are having a lot of fun. Cute t shirt.
With some quilting in there it has been a great week.
I have done nothing this week.

  4. I am so looking forward to the middle of the feathered goose. and I do hope your son is OK - what a worry!

  5. Sending prayers for your son. It’s good that you haven’t been around him, but it’s hard to be sick and not have Mom to care for you! I’m so glad to hear the twin is finally coming home. Baby snuggles ahead!

That Feathered Geese quilt is going to be amazing. Those blocks look so complicated. The Memory quilt is a great idea. Cute too.

I’ll bet that little one was every bit as cute covered in dirt.

  6. Oh boy that Feathered Geese quilt is gorgeous! I can't wait to see how it all comes together! Love the train on your Memory quilt and that grandbaby is ADORABLE!!! Glad you got a picture before he played in the dirt! Lol!
