Mom's county fair awards:

I thought I'd already posted this, but I can't find it.  Mom's purple and yellow mariner's compass quilt won the following fair awards:  1st place ribbon, Award of Merit, and People's Choice.

As a reminder,  instead of a binding she has crocheted a beautiful edge in green.  The center four blocks were done with mirror image fabric in which the back side of the fabric had to be used to accomplish this task.  Also, there is piping around each circular block - a huge project in itself.  ABSOLUTELY STUNNING QUILT!!!
Mom's Dorinda quilt won:  1st place ribbon, Best in Class, Best of Show, People's Choice, and Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce Award.

CONGRATS MOM!

Thanks for posting this. I know we talked about it when we went to St. George. They are truly gorgeous quilts. She really needs to toot her own horn about her accomplishments.
