Deana: cowboy baby quilt top done!

Yay!  I got the top done this weekend.  I am cutting it too close.  The baby shower is this coming Saturday so quilting and binding will happen this week.  It is a good thing it is small.

Deana: Little cowboy is still progressing

I was able to piece the borders and add the horse shoe applique' . One step at a time this one is turning into something.  I didn't like it so much until I got the horse shoes on it.  I am going to paper piece stars for the four corners.  That explains why they look odd right now.

Deana: Cowboy progress...

I am SO HAPPY to have this little guy fused down now with some piecing added to frame him!  The stick horse still needs a bridle and the cowboy needs a hat band and a sherriff star on his little vest.  He is definitely a work in progress.  I want to get the stitching done this week so I can finish the piecing next week and quilt it the next.  There will be some paper piecing that will be time consuming in the piecing.  One step at a time I suppose.
