June goals and more of Australia

June goals are lofty, but I will be gone to two quilt retreats and am not working because it is SUMMER BREAK! Oh do I need my June.

I need to complete a row for this quilt and pass it along. It is called Sunny Days.

I am hoping to completely cut these star blocks and begin sewing them.

This is a photo of what I am making.

I want to cut out all of my Aurora blocks to make a queen sized quilt.

Some appliqué prep needs to happen. I have choices from two Farm Sweet Farm quilts and Let's Bake.

Paisley Punch, a quilt I started in April, needs the mitered  borders added. I think the matching border print will frame it nicely.

Chair of Bowlies, started in May, needs some progress.

Cut my princess castle and begin assembly on the quilt.

Cut the rest of Cluck, Cluck, Bawk. Truthfully, I can't even find this project at the moment.

Some Vesta progress

Maybe add pockets to my quilt coat.

Last photos of Australia...

We headed home through the Hunter Valley. It was beautiful!

We visited the sheep art.

We arrived at the airport, to our dismay, 1 day early. It was my bad. We got a hotel and decided on some city things to see.

Evelyn suggested we use public transportation rather than Uber. It was fun navigating the city by train, bus, and on foot.

I heard that the buildings on the University of Sydney Campus were way cool, so off we went. LOVED THIS SITE?

We walked back on our way to church.  I enjoyed seeing some of the buildings.

We also found our church meeting and went. They had a linger longer after with lunch. We made new friends. Isn't she adorable?

Evelyn and I enjoyed a tour of this beautiful church. It was a block away from our church.

  1. Deana, I am so far behind! I realised I did not know what the number was for June so I decided to scroll back. Eventually I got there and was able to read all your other news that I had missed. I'm pleased you were able to find so many interesting places to visit in Sydney. It is really worth the time spent.
