Hello Blogland and fellow Chookshed Quilters. Sorry I have been so silent lately. It is super busy here.
I wish to give all of you a great big THANK YOU for supporting me in this challenge. The friendships I have made with all of you are very meaningful.
YES, YES, YES I will be hosting again in 2025, start thinking of your 10 goals for the Jan-Oct 2025.
Please let us know how your final number's progress ended as well as a comparison of your 2024 starter list to your end list. I am certain we all saw progress.

Here is my list start and end:
1. Laundry Basket's Spring Mystery (progress). Hand applique' is what is left to do. DONE!
3. Disney Princess Blocks (progress) TWO BLOCKS PIECED.
4. Start Cross My Heart Quilt (finished!) and cut out chicken panel quilt (NOPE)
Cross My Heart is completely done!
Since some group members organized to do a panel quilt, and I happen to have a few pieces already cut, I may as well do this too. I figure I might not get to it without support from others. Goal is to get the rest of it cut out.
5. Kiwi bird blocks - here are the blocks and the lady who inspired the NZ theme . She shared them with us on zoom.
6. Chooky's Scrub Stitchin' Bag (start and finish) It is done.
7. Chevron Round Robin (quilt top done) NOPE, BUT PROGRESS WAS MADE.
8. Gingerbread House Embroidery (progress) YES, BUT VERY LITTLE
9. Start Pineapple Tula Pink quilt - (quilt top done) QUILTED AND BOUND!

Go you! You have made great progress throughout the year. Thanks so much for hosting this challenge. It has definitely encouraged me to work on some things that would have otherwise been ignored. I’m now starting to think about what to list for next year. I will do a wrap up post in the next day or so. All were worked on, but two need to be quilted. Hopefully they will all be done by the end of the year - the beauty of only 10 nominations.
ReplyDeleteYou have made wonderful progress on your challenge items Deana, thank you very much for hosting and keeping us on track. A deadline works for me every time! I am happy to say I met all my challenges!! So happy!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work. Thank you for organising and I look forwrd to joining you all again next year.
ReplyDeleteProgress counts for a lot and you did well on the making progress goal. You have such fun projects in the works. It's hard to pick a favorite, but your pineapple quilt is up there.
ReplyDeleteYou had a very successful Chookshed challenge. and a very productive year. Thank you for hosting and yes, I'll be joining in again next year. I'll do a roundup post soon, just need to get the wedding over with.
ReplyDeleteYou have done wonderfully well with meeting the challenges. As for me, sadly the last couple of months were a non event, too much getting out and about on our caravan trips, but I'm really pleased with the previous months challenges. I'm so happy you will be hosting again next year, I'm so looking forward to taking part again. Will do a linky post shortly.
ReplyDeleteI'll just repeat most of what Janice said -"Go you! You have made great progress throughout the year. Thanks so much for hosting this challenge. It has definitely encouraged me to work on some things that would have otherwise been ignored. I have already started the 2025 list. "
