Scrub Stitchin' Post #4 - meal time, group photo, & Moda Love

Warning - another photo heavy post, and some photos have been borrowed.

Here we are - the 2023 Scrub Stitchers:

Ok, here goes nothing as I try to get everyone's face with their name.

I am going to try to do this in side rows left to right, back to front if that makes any sense at all.

Lynda, Raewyn, Jude then Lou.

Kylie, Pat, Susan, Lianne, Maureen

Helen, Tina, Georgina, Lea, Sylvia

Harriet, Annette, Raylene, Gail, Brenda, Me

Natasha, Jo, Sue, Annette (hiding behind Tracy), Jenny

Miranda, Di

Seated in front, left to right:  Chooky, Diane, Chris, Jules

I added this incomplete one as well realizing we can see some faces better and two are here that could not be seen in the previous photo.
Janice in the mask and wearing pink is in the back in this one and Lynda is standing between Pat and Raylene.
Susan and Annette's faces can be seen so much better in tis one as well.
From what I can figure, we are missing the other Lynda.

Meal time was always social time.  Chooky asked us to sit with ladies we didn't know and to move around each meal.

Left side front to back:
Pat, Chooky, Janice, Lianne, Kylie, Susan, Tracy, Lynda, Georgina, Tina
Right side front to back:
Jude, Gail, Chris, Maureen, Sylvia, Jules, Harriet, Brenda

Moda Love Show N Tell

Scrub Stitchin' typically has an optional quilt some of them make at retreat.  These ladies ended up making this year's Moda Love Quilt.  There may have been more, but these are the photos I was able to get.  It is a joy for quilters to see the exact same quilt pattern made in different color ways.

Raewyn and Susan

Maureen likes small.

Janice must have finished hers out in her camper after she got sick.  When I saw it the first day it looked like this. Notice the extra extras she added to the center.  I believe she made a Moda Love inside a Moda Love.

For show n tell night it had grown into this...

Jo made hers small.

as did Lou

Pat

Jude

After browsing blog posts, I discovered that Jude also made these moda love blocks that she has turned into a rectangular quilt since arriving back home.

Lynda

Lianne

Jenny

This was the one on the wall.

This one is NOT MODA LOVE, but it reminded me of it so I threw it in here.  It was made by Di.

This was last year's optional quilt called Twister.  Some brought their finished ones to show and Helen actually made hers at this year's retreat.  I think the one below was Chooky's. There was one in greens displayed on the wall that was made by Jenny.

Jules Twister

Chooky and Diane assisted Helen in making a twister quilt top while at retreat.  It was fun to watch it turn from a quilt of squres into this.

  3. The Moda Love quilts turned out beautifully. That's one of the fun of a class, you get to see the same pattern in different fabrics.
